Bill Clinton Will Shake Your Hand If You Let Him

I took this photo during a Spring 2008 rally for Hilary Clinton that took place in Corvallis, OR. Everyone wanted to shake former President Bill Clinton’s hand–a few succeeded. One really short lady was right beside me and literally started crying, because she was so excited to meet Clinton. She was shaking and screaming, “Bill, Bill” to get his attention. It was a crazy scene.

I took this picture off of Highway 34 just east of Corvallis. I was driving home from Eugene and it had been raining hard for over an hour. When the sun came out this double rainbow formed and “touched down” in this field.

I took this photo four years ago when I was working for the Linn Benton Community College newspaper, The Commuter. I didn’t know at the time, but it turns out that the surfer is Lars Campos from Corvallis, Oregon. I knew him through work and when I told him I’d been taking pictures at Moolack Beach he told me he’d been out that day. I showed him my pics, and, sure enough, there he was.
